The Quake-Catcher Network is a collaborative initiative for developing the worlds largest, low-cost strong-motion seismic network by utilizing sensors in and attached to internet-connected computers. Many laptops already have accelerometers inside of them. If you have a MacBook, iBook or Powerbook (purchased 2005 or later, and wish to participate in this technology, check it out at:

Microsoft Force Feedback Pro With Windows XP Pro 
I used to do alot of online gaming with the Microsoft Force Feedback 1 joystick years ago. Towards the end of Windows98's lifespan, and when USB ports became popular, alot of people quit using that stick. I thought it was the best stick that was ever made. It was rock solid and had a good feel to it. I saw one on EBay for $10 and decided to see if I could make it work somehow with WindowsXP. DCS:Black Shark
In 2003, Eagle Dynamics released Lock-On Modern Air Combat Simulator, or better known as "Lomac". The sim was highly praised by the flight sim community because of the details and the flight dynamics. A few years ago the Lomac team started working on an add-on to Lomac called Black Shark. Black Shark is the KA-50 Russian Attack Helicopter. Just last month, it was announced that Black Shark would be released by the DCS series, or Digital Combat Simulator series. IR Headtracking System:Free Track 6DOF
I put together a home-built IR headtracking system using some spare parts in the garage, a webcam and the Free Track software. It works really great and best of all the software is free.
